NBC / CasaQ Best Darn Tamale Contest*
The NBC / CasaQ Best Darn Tamale Contest is a nationwide contest where tamale locations compete to be named the best tamale in the USA. Over 100 commercial tamale locations are invited to participate, currently about 30-40 locations send in up to 5 entries each. Initial tastings take place during October/November which are then narrowed down to 5 finalist tamales in five categories (Pork/Beef, Chicken, Gourmet, Vegetarian & Sweet) which are tasted by a panel of celebrity judges on a special :30 program aired 2-3 times o NBC Bay Area. 

Complete production of show includes recruitment of contest participants and celebrity judges, program schedule, script development, set design and marketing materials.

VivaFest / Mariachi Festival
Curated original history tours, food and foodie events for ¡VivaFest! Mexican Heritage and Mariachi Festival celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month at the Tech Museum and Santa Clara University & Mission. Events included a 20th Anniversary of Like Water for Chocolate dinner and movie events with Grammy award winner Lila Downs, Maya Calendar Revealed documentary and panel discussion with Maya spiritual leader Tata José Soc Chivalán and world renowned scholars of the Maya calendar and a special movie preview of Taco Shop by Grammy award winning film and TV producer/writer Rick Najera.

Palomino World Series*
Worked with PAL- Police Athletics League to produce the Palomino World Series which brought the top PONY baseball teams with players 17-19 years old to compete in a 4 day tournament culminating in the championship game on the last day. Teams came from all over the world including the USA, Chinese Taipei, Mexico and Puerto Rico. More than 800 Major League Baseball players are graduates of PONY Baseball including Bobby and Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Ken Griffey Jr. and Sr., Ryan Howard, Tony Gwynn, Jeff Kent, Mark McGwire, Cal Ripken Jr., Alex Rodriguez, Barry Zito, Gary Sheffield, and J.T. Snow.

Mexican Gastronomic Festival*
Worked wih the Mexican Consulate and Mexico Tourism Board to bring the best of Mexican cuisine to Silicon Valley. A top chef from Mexico City was flown in to create a spectacular menu that was featured at the Fairmont Hotel restaurant which was taken over for a week to highlight mexican gastronomical dleights. An additional VIP event was held at the City Hall Rotunda by invitation only.
